Wine Bloggers Conference has been rocking it out since 2008. It's an important opportunity to not only learn from various sessions, visit and explore wine areas, as well as network with wine industry colleagues and friends. The conference would not be possible without sponsors. In addition to that, some such as myself would have never enjoyed the benefit without attending without sponsors of the Wine Bloggers Scholarship Fund.
A lucky few of us, received scholarships in 2017 through the generous support of Rodney Strong, Ethnifacts, Avero Buzz, and individual donors.
Rodney Strong Vineyards is a power house in the wine world. In 2013, Wine Enthusiast named them American Winery of the Year. Besides their generosity in regards to the Wine Bloggers Conference, they are also involved with the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts and CORE (Children of Restaurant Employees), which provides support to children and families of restaurant employees who are experiencing or afflicted by life-altering circumstances.
Avero Buzz is an exciting online platform by restaurant owners for restaurant owners to help hospitality leaders make the best decisions for their businesses and their guests. They are also making the world a better place by supporting the next generation of culinary leaders, addressing childhood hunger, supporting the fight against cancer and more.
EthniFacts is all about using data to better inform decisions and avoid out dated assumptions. They have worked with famous wine brands such as E&J Gallow along with other industries.
I know myself I gained a wealth of knowledge from the experience and I am sure the other scholarship recipients feel the same way. I hope others are able to join in Walla Walla in 2018 through the generosity of these sponsors.
